Mr. Curlie Hunt Jr age 70 of Shannon, North Carolina was born on August 15, 1952 to the late Mr. Curlie Hunt and the late Mrs. Sarah Elizabeth Freeman Hunt in Robeson County. He departed this life into eternity on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by six sisters, Lilly Dial, Sarah Lois Jacobs, Louise Hunt, Barbara Hunt, Cathy Hunt, Carolene Hunt, two brothers, Johnny Hunt and Levern Hunt, one grandson, JJ Hunt.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 48 years Mrs. Mary Hunt of the home, two sons, Danny Ray Hunt, Johnny Hunt (Brandi) all of Shannon, North Carolina; three daughters, Carolene Hunt (Rev. Jeremiah) of Prospect, North Carolina; Katey Brewington (Michael) of Pembroke, North Carolina; Pauline Bell of Maxton, North Carolina;four brothers, Kenny Hunt of Lumberton, North Carolina; Harold Hunt of Fairmont, North Carolina; Rev. Bobby Mitchell of Laurel Hill, North Carolina; Willie James Hunt of Fairmont, North Carolina; twelve grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends. A special thanks to Dana and the Gentiva Hospice Care for their kindness and services that was extended to the family.
