Ms. Cora Oxendine age 83 of Red Springs, North Carolina was born on April 26, 1940, to the Mr. Carlie Locklear and late Mrs. Mary Jane Barton Locklear in Robeson County. She departed this life into eternity on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her son George David Oxendine, six brothers, Edward Locklear, Rev. Montana Locklear, Gervis Locklear, Edsel Locklear, Carl Wayne Locklear, Claude "Pee Wee" Locklear, one sister, Ethel Miller, two grandsons, Brian Oxendine, Roberto Lopez and her life partner, Charlie Ray Brooks.

She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons, Tony Oxendine of Red Springs, North Carolina, Rodney Oxendine of Oklahoma, four daughters, Diane Jacobs of Red Springs, North Carolina; Frances Sanchez of Lexington, North Carolina; Bobbie Fernandez of Red Springs, North Carolina; Betty Martinez of Shannon, North Carolina; two sisters, Gertha Burnette of Rennert, North Carolina; Carol Locklear of Pembroke, North Carolina; two special granddaughters, Glenda "Choo Choo" Jacobs, Maria Williams and a host of other relatives and friends.
