Mr. Clilton "Tanken" Barton Sr. was born on February 15, 1944 and passed into eternity on November 15, 2021. He is preceded in death by his parents, Mr. Mack and Mrs. Magdalean Barton, brother, Billy Barton, his wife of 48 years, Mrs. Mozella Barton, daughter, Teresa Barton, and great- granddaughter, Miss Lilyann Deese.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons, Billy Barton ( Leslie) and Clilton Barton, Jr., four daughters, Sandra Calhoun (Scott), Lisa Counsellor, (Bruce), Robin Smith (Willie) and Wanda Chavis (Phillip). Three brothers, Mack D. Barton, Jr., (Donna Faye), Thurman Barton and Raymond Barton. Seven sisters, Georgeann Barnes, Mary Lee Bullard (Waymon), Lottie P. Bullard (James Ellis), Erma Lee Barton, Jackie Dunn, Goldie Lee Berry (Kenny) and Jan B. Locklear, twelve grandchildren, Scott Calhoun (Victoria), Christopher Calhoun (Irene), Heather Deese (Chris), Jessica Naito (Travis), Samantha Altherr (Jacob), Chelsea Simpson, (Eric), Sequoyah Smith, Hunter Smith, Dakota Smith, Akwiasdi Smith, Chad Chavis, and Kenneth Jones; along with twelve great- grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
