Mr. Cleveland Raymond "Ray" Carter age 58 of Fairmont, North Carolina was born on January 19, 1964, to the late Mr. Clester Earlis Carter and Mrs. Carolyn Brewer in Scotland County, North Carolina. He departed this life into eternity on Monday, December 19, 2022, at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his brother, Clinton "Papa" Carter.

He leaves to cherish his memories, three sons, Cleveland Raymond Carter Jr. (Lashonda) of Fairmont, North Carolina; Zachary Jacob Carter of Benson, North Carolina; Thomas Johnson of Four Oaks, North Carolina; two daughters, Brandy Carter (Catherine) of Laurinburg, North Carolina; Lashonda McCollum of Red Springs, North Carolina; brother, Karl Carter of Selma, North Carolina; sister, Anita Strong of Shannon, North Carolina; grandchildren, Tristan Lee Clark, Kody Clinton Carter, Troy Dean Carter, Alissa Carter, Storm Carter, Kimela Brooks. A host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
