Rejoice in the Lord always, and again I say rejoice. Our dearest mother Mrs. Clara Mae Jacobs departed this life after a journey of 78 years. On July 19, 2023 at Scotland Regional Hospice surrounded by her family she entered into eternity to be with her Lord and Savior. Mrs. Clara was preceded in death by her husband of nearly fifty years Mr. Nathaniel Jacobs. a daughter, Genell Jacobs, parents, Mr. Josiah Locklear and Mrs. Cora Mae Locklear, five brothers, Wade, Alton, Sherman "Sam", Clea Miller, 'Buck", Curtis Locklear; five sisters, Mrs. Vianna "Dart" Locklear, Mrs. Mary " Lady" Dial, Mrs. Cinderella Locklear, Mrs.Bessie Simmons and Aunt Shank.

Leaving behind to cherish her memories, two sons, Michael Ray Jacobs of Maxton, North Carolina; Nathan Jacobs of New York, one daughter, Katina "Tina" Locklear (Julius Jr.) of Pembroke, North Carolina, two brothers: Grady (Julie) Locklear, Mr. Bobby Locklear both of Maxton, North Carolina, nine- grandchildren, twenty- nine great grandchildren, two great- great grandchildren, and one on the way (Baby).
