Mrs. Christy Lynn Strickland age 33 of Laurel Hill, North Carolina was born on June 26, 1989, to Mary Katherine Norton Starling and the late Charles Starling in Scotland County, North Carolina. She departed this life to eternity on March 26, 2023, at Scotland Memorial Hospital, Laurinburg, North Carolina. Along with her father she is preceded in death by her grandparents, William Norton, Sr., Thelma Norton, and Mary Starling, uncle, Danny Ray Norton, Sr., aunts, Myra Starling,  and Wanda Starling, special uncle, Papa Julius Miller, special dad, Ricky McPherson.

Christy leaves to cherish her memories her husband: Brandon Strickland of Laurinburg, North Carolina, four sons: Braydon Strickland, Jacob Strickland, Daniel Strickland, and Noah Strickland all of the home, one daughter: Kayle Strickland of the home, mother: Mary Katherine Norton Starling of Laurel Hill, North Carolina, sisters, Vicky Chinn (Terry), of Laurel Hill, North Carolina, Christina McPherson, and Jessica Ellis, special moms, Lynn McPherson, Lisa McLaurin and Mary Mitchell, one brother, Jason Milligan,  grandmother: Jessie Locklear of Laurel Hill, North Carolina, mother-in-law: Connie Strickland of Gibson, North Carolina, sister-in-law: Nicole Fore, one nephew: Nathaniel, two special aunts, Linda Prevatte and Lisa Hunt,  two nieces: Madison, and Natalie (Derrick), her special  best friend and children's godmother, Melissa Prevatte, a special friend, Ben King, aunts, uncles, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
