Mrs. Certice "Carol" Locklear age 74 of Shannon, North Carolina was born on February 26, 1947, to the late Charles Oxendine and the late Priscilla Brayboy in Scotland County, North Carolina. She departed this life to eternity on August 30, 2021, at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center, Fayetteville, North Carolina. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Orba, George Von, Charles Hamp, Willie Clayton, Broughton, Orbell, Fairlon, Martha, and Gennella.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband:Clifton Locklear of the home, two daughters: Melinda Locklear of Shannon, North Carolina, Teresa L. McDonald of Red Springs, North Carolina, one brother: John Oxendine of Greensboro, North Carolina, three grandchildren: Cory R. Locklear, Morgan S. McDonald, Seth Elliott McDonald, two great-grandchildren: Tori Reana Green, Mark Allen Locklear, along with a host of other relatives and friends.
