Catherine (Cat) Johnson Campbell was born on July 9, 1952 in Lumberton, North Carolina to the late Mr. Isaiah Johnson and the late Mrs. Katie Benton Johnson. On December 10, 2024, God quietly whispered, "Catherine, my child, your journey on this earth has ended and your work here is done.  "Well done my good and faithful servant, you have been faithful."

Catherine (Cat), a proud member of the Red Springs High School Class of 1971, received her education within the Robeson County Public Schools.

Catherine (Cat) started serving the Lord at an early age.  She was a faithful member of McCormicks Chapel Baptist Church, where she served on the Usher Board, Choir and the Kitchen Committee.  Catherine (Cat) later joined St. Joseph Miracle Revival Center under the leadership of Apostle Anthony Buie.

Catherine (Cat) worked for numerous companies before retiring, including Converse, Sara Lee, and Faberge (Unilever). Catherine (Cat) loved cooking, baking cakes, and shopping.  She had an indescribable love for her family.  Her grandchildren were her heart and the joy of her life.

Catherine (Cat) was united in holy matrimony to Elex Campbell who preceded her in death.  Catherine (Cat) was also preceded in death by her siblings, Rutha Mae Jones, Doretha McNeil, Mary Jane Johnson-Mickel, Willie Mae Moore, Lauretha Lewis, Leroy Jackson, and Albert Johnson, and one grandson, Tony McKeithan, Jr.

Catherine (Cat) leaves to cherish her precious memories: her children, Marlo Everett, of Red Springs, North Carolina; Merlo Murray, of Bridgeport, Connecticut; Calvin Murray, of Red Springs, North Carolina; and Lauretta McKeithan (Tony), of Red Springs, North Carolina; one brother, Robert Johnson (Eunice), of Irvington, New Jersey;  ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Also a loving grandson whom she loved and raised like her own, Aron Everett.
