Mrs. Carolyn Marie Carter Brewer, age 78 of Shannon, North Carolina was born on July 06, 1942 to the late Mr. Quessie Locklear and the late Mrs. Eltis Locklear. She departed this life on June 16, 2021, at UNC Southeastern in Lumberton, North Carolina; She is preceded in death by her husband, Neil Raybon " Chub" Brewer, son, Clinton Carl " Papa" Carter, her sister, Joyce Brooks, and a brother, Quessie Locklear Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories: a daughter Anita C Strong, two sons, Cleveland Carter and wife Lisa of Benson, North Carolina, Karl Carter and Keisha of Selma, North Carolina: four brothers: Larry Locklear, Crawford Locklear, Eddie Locklear, and James Locklear, five sisters: Evelyn Hicks, Goldie Chavis, Marnice Swoap, Sylvia Cummings, and Sheila Locklear. nine grandchildren: April, CJ, Brandy, Jordan, Lee, Monica, Julian, Zachary, Kaliska; eleven great-grandchildren: Mya, Justice, Alona, Tristan, Kody, Troy, Alissa, Layden, Kotinya, Aryana, Lennox. one great-great-grandson, Grayson. A host of other relatives and friends.
