Mrs. Brenda Faye Coverdale, age 66 of Maxton, North Carolina was born on November 17, 1954, to the late Mr. Lee S. Chavis and the late Mrs. Alice Lambert Chavis in Robeson County. She departed this life into eternity on Monday, September 13, 2021, at Scotland Memorial Hospital. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Earlie Neal Jones Jr.

She leaves to cherish her memories, her husband Frederick Coverdale of the home, one daughter, Donna Jones Locklear of Lumberton, North Carolina; one son, Joseph Lee Jones of Greensboro, North Carolina; four brothers, Lee S. Chavis Jr, Jimmy D. Chavis, Wayne S. Chavis, Mike Chavis. Two sisters, Ava Lynn Scott, and Alice Locklear. nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
