Austin Butler Brooks age 18 of Red Springs, North Carolina was born on August 6, 2004, to the late Jason Brooks and Linda Lynn Christie in Albany, New York. He departed this life on August 12, 2022, at Grand Strand Medical Center, Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Austin was preceded in death by his father Jason Brooks, paternal grandfather Larry Brooks, paternal grandmother Janice Canady,  paternal great grandfather, and great grandmother Ronald Jacobs, Mellorose Jacobs, maternal great grandfather, and great grandmother Alvin Ray Oxendine, and Linda K. W. Locklear.

Austin lives on through his mother: Linda Lynn Christie, four brothers: Cherokee Christie, Jayden, Conner, Kayden, his sisters: Hailey Christie, Leeani Elvrum, Paris Christie one special nephew: Cherokee Kaylem Christie, maternal grandfather, and grandmother: Bo and Robin Tayler, great aunts: Connie Ray Christie, Rosa Mae Cummings, Rosa Lee Locklear,  an abundance amount of aunts, uncles and cousins, his soulmate Raeanna Oxendine along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Austin was the humblest, funniest, hard-working, and had a smile that could light up any room. He had a big impact on his siblings and all others around him.
