Ms. Annie Jarvie L. McGirt 89 of 1329 Red Hill Road, Maxton, North Carolina was born Monday August 31, 1936, to the late Mr. Neal Archie Lowry, Sr. and Mrs. Leola Locklear Lowry. She departed this life on Wednesday, July 8, 2026, at Scotland Memorial Hospital, Laurinburg, North Carolina. She was preceded in death by a grandson, Devon "Dee" Locklear, six brothers: Mr. John D. Locklear, Mr. Benford Lowry Sr., Mr. Marvin Lowry, Mr. Neal Lowry Jr., Mr., Walter Lowry, Mr. Fulton "Pat" Lowry, two sisters: Mrs. Iona L. Oxendine, Mrs. Mary Della L. Collins, father of children, James Alton McGirt.

Ms. Annie Jarvie leaves behind to cherish her memory, three sons: Mr. Anthony McGirt (Jane) of Pembroke, North Carolina, Mr. Leevern McGirt (Wanda) of Maxton, North Carolina, Mr. John Derek McGirt (Barbara) of Maxton, North Carolina, one daughter: Ms. Veronica McGirt Jacobs (Sam) of Maxton, North Carolina, twelve grandchildren: Tanya, Brandon, Tony, Chassity, Yancey, David, Alexander, Erica, John, Shanelle, Ambria and Julie, seventeen great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, she was not just a mother and grandmother to her own children but to a host of family and friends along the way.
