Mr. Adam Gay, age 48 of Red Springs, North Carolina  was born in Lumberton, NC at Southeastern Regional Medical Center to Minnie L. Haywood and Willie Gay, Jr. on August 8, 1974. He transitioned from this life to be with his heavenly Father and daughter, Elishia Shydayah Gay (whom preceded him in death) on August 23, 2022 at FirstHealth-Moore Regional Hospital, Pinehurst, NC at 1127pm with family and friend at his bedside.

Adam was a 1992 graduate of Red Springs High School where he participated in the Marching Band and Football. He then went on to join the United States Marine Corps where he served from 1995-1999. He traveled extensively and ended up meeting his Wife, Petricia Gay. While being enlisted, he also validated his Barber skills which he loved with a passion. People would come from all over to get one of his designer fresh cuts.

Adam is well known for his huge heart, winning personality and willingness to help in any capacity he could. He never met a stranger and once you've met him, you would never forget it because he made such a lasting impression, that time was lost in his joyful presence. He was definitely a family-oriented person and loved his Parents and siblings with every beat of his heart; and made sure the world knew it.

His loving memories will live on through his Wife, Petricia Gay (Houston, TX). Daughter, Zy'Mirah Shanice Gay of the home. His Mother, Minnie L. Haywood of the home and Father, Willie Gay, Jr. of Durham, NC. Three Brothers: Brad Sha'Marr Gay of Fayetteville, NC, Travis McNeill of Parkton, NC and Carlos Gay of the home. One beloved Sister, Lesa Ann Gay of Fayetteville, NC. Maternal Grandmother, Isabel Ellerbe of Red Springs, NC. Maternal Grandfather, David Haywood (deceased). Paternal Grandmother, Suenell Gay (deceased), Paternal Grandfather, Nathaniel Gordon (deceased). Aunts: Mable Haywood of Red Springs, NC, Melissa Ellerbe of Fayetteville, NC, Frances G. Brown of Fayetteville, NC. Uncles: Roscoe Haywood (Juanita) of Raeford, NC, June Haywood (Brenda) of Red Springs, NC, James Henry Gay of Red Springs, NC, Kenny Gay (Tracey) of Garner, NC, Charles Gay (Theresa) of Garner NC, and Rodney "Ronnie" Gay of Red Springs, NC. Those whom preceded him in death also: Aunts: Sylvia Maynor, Mary Mitchell and Tammy Gay. Uncles: Roosevelt Gay, Terry Gay and Clarence Gay.

A special friend, Gail Mitchell (Kokoa) who has been there for him over the last few years and was especially a great help to the family during Adams' final days. The family appreciates you.
