Marvin Jacobs Jr

Mr. Marvin Jacobs, Jr., age 76 of 4860 Old Lowery Road, Shannon, North Carolina was born on February 8, 1943 to the late Marvin Jacobs, Sr., and the late Aletha Locklear Jacobs in Robeson County, North Carolina.  He departed this life on Sunday, May 26, 2019 at First Health Moore Regional Hospice, West End, North Carolina.  He was preceded in death by his sons, Jeff Burgess and Jon-Marvin Revels Jacobs, brothers, James Earl Jacobs and Harry Truman Jacobs, sisters, Mary Ellen Locklear, Whyoner (Toochie) Bullard, Ophelia (Philly) Hammonds and grandchild, Dakota Vesely.

Marvin loved his children. 

Left to share fond memories are: five daughters, Mary Linda Jacobs (William Locklear), Judith Jacobs, Mary Jane Jacobs (Stoney Chavis), Helen Jacobs Chavis (Mike), and Sharon Meyers; two brothers, Ben Frank Jacobs, and Sanford Jacobs (Polly); one sister, Brenda Sampson (David); eleven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one special aunt, Frances Jacobs; a special friend, Mary A. Oxendine; and a host of other relatives and friends.

 Homegoing Service for Mr. Marvin Jacobs, Jr., will be held at  3:00pm Thursday, May 30, 2019 at Heritage Funeral Home, Hardin's Chapel, Red Springs, North Carolina. Interment will follow in the Jacobs Family Cemetery, Pembroke, North Carolina. 

The family will receive friends on Wednesday, May 29, 2019 from 7:00pm -9:00pm  at Heritage  Funeral Home, Red Springs North Carolina.
