Mr Larry Chavis Jr, age 66 of Lumber Bridge was born on February 28, 1953 to the late Mr. Everton Chavis and the late Mrs. Walter Mae Woods Chavis in Scotland County. He entered into eternity on Saturday, December 28, 2019 at PruittHealth Hospice Center in Durham, North Carolina.'

Mr. Larry proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He leaves to cherish his memories: one daughter, Melinda Jones of Parkton, North Carolina; five sons: Jerome Jones and Edwin Jones both of Parkton, North Carolina; Chad Jones of Lumberton, North Carolina; Mark Chavis of South Carolina; and Matthew Chavis of Lumber Bridge, North Carolina; three brothers, Everton Chavis Jr (Kathleen) of Lumber Bridge, North Carolina; Stevie Chavis (Sharon) of Rex, North Carolina; and Charles Lee Chavis of the home; five sisters, Glenda Munoz (David) of Ohio; Vivian Blackwell of the home; Janice Samorripa of California; Sylvia Puckett (Eddie) and Annette Schumake both of Tennessee. nine grandchildren, one great-grandchild and a host of other family and friends.
